WinterPride Ski & Swim

The Village is co-sponsoring several events for this year's WinterPride/Ski and Swim. Discounted tickets are available online through January 31st. Visit www.slcwinterpride.org to see a full list of activities, many of which are FREE.

ICE SKATING
Tuesday, February 12 @ 7pm
FREE (Ticket Required)
Utah Gallivan Center, 239 South Main Street
Join hands while circling the rink for a evening of fun under the stars. Skate and spin on the ice, or sit on the side and enjoy tasty treats from the Utah AIDS Foundation while you watch QUAC perform the QUACAPADES. Skate rental included with the first 175 tickets.

GAY MOVIE NIGHT

The Village is proud to be a part of WinterPride and present the strength of Utah's GLBT community with a collection of homegrown films shot in Utah by local queer filmmakers.

SHORTS FEST

Queer Frontiers- An exploration of Utah's gay and lesbian pioneers working to strengthen our gay community and fight for LGBT Rights. Directed by David Alder.
Gay Hitmen- Is monogamy possible in the underworld? Find out in this creepy funny comedy. Directed by Andy Bauman.
Jo Outside- Jo Blake, a local dancer, finds himself at a crossroad in life. Directed by Jeremiah Hansen.
Dissonance- Beautifully shot and full of emotion, this short delves into the ethical dilemmas of an obsessed young pianist on the cusp of his career. Directed by Steven Doxey.
Dummy Love-A lunchtime tryst takes an unexpected turn. Directed by Jeremiah Hansen.
Passenger- On a snowcapped mountain a naked cowboy opens his pick-up truck to a passenger in this lingering erotic dream. Directed by Michael Cox.
Hard Parts- Nicole recruits her ex-husband to convince her best friend that her new boyfriend is not homophobic in this sexy tale of three guys and a girl. Directed by Michael Cox.
Disruptive Items- This film explores freedom of speech and censorship in the context of suspensions related to anti-war and Queers Kick Ash t-shirts at a local public high school. Directed by Isabella Bravo.

SINGLE TRACKS
7:00pm
Single Tracks was filmed in Utah, by Utahns with local actors, and the winner of the "Best GLBT Feature" at South Africa's Everglades International Film Festival. After 7 years of marriage, watch as An & Elena hit a major pothole within their relationship with the revelation that Elena is gay. Enjoy this tragic comedy as you watch them navigate their relationship, mixed with interviews of real Utah couples. After the showing participate in a short Q&A session with the An, Elena and other cast members. Written, produced & directed by An Dinh.
Single Tracks is preceded by Likes of You, a visual poem celebrating the many voices of women, their empowerment, joy, beauty. Directed by Natalie Avery.
